We are thrilled to announce the results are in and we’ve been named one of the#MyLA2050 Grants Challenge winners!
The LA2050 Grants Challenge taps into the creativity and innovation of organizations across LA County to inspire a better future for our region. LA2050 received almost 300 amazing ideas and we couldn’t be prouder to be one of the 12 winners that will help make LA a better place to learn, create, play, connect and live.
THANK YOU for voting for us, supporting us and spreading the word. You helped us win and we couldn’t be more grateful to you! This Challenge saw thousands of Angelenos lending their voice to give LA2050 input on how they want to improve communities across LA County.
Our $100,000 grant will fund our work in 2017. Over the course of 22 weekends, Big Citizen HUB will build a pipeline of social changemakers by bringing together 236 diverse young people, ages 11-26, from across Los Angeles for leadership development and community service.
“We believe in the power of Angelenos to shape the future of our region and want to empower LA’s youth to lead in developing solutions for change,” said Goldhirsh Foundation president, Tara Roth. “Big Citizen Hub is building partnerships at independent and public schools to bring together youth of all backgrounds to become the next generation of social change leaders in the region.”
